Drifting through a sonic landscape of the dark Nordic mist.
In a dark, powerful melodic universe wrapped in drones, improvisation, and down-tuned strings, Danish-Swedish musician and composer Felix Havstad Ziska invites at Lost Farm Festival on a journey into Nordic melancholy.
With roots in heavy metal, Nordic folk, punk, and classical music, Felix Havstad Ziska has spent the past decade weaving his intricate arrangements for leading artists in Denmark and abroad. As a one-man string army, his debut project Serenader revealed an experimental side – an hour of improvisations for music boxes – that starkly contrasts some of the hyper-polished pop productions he’s contributed to as a sideman.
For Lost Farm, Felix Havstad Ziska and his ensemble once again spin their vast sonic wheel, inviting us into a cinematic soundscape where tones and reality blur under deeply tuned drones and string instruments. This concert offers a unique portal into another world – drifting through darkness toward a distant light.
